1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how KOCHI DIGITAL ("we", "our", "us") handles information when you use the mobile application Roofing Calculator (the "App") on Android (via Google Play) or iOS (via Apple App Store.)

By installing and using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please uninstall the App.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

The App is designed with a strict privacy-first, offline-by-default architecture. We do NOT collect, store, or transmit:

• Personal Identifiers: name, email, phone number, postal address, government ID.
• Location Data: GPS coordinates, IP address, coarse or precise location.
• Device Identifiers: IMEI, MAC address, advertising ID (AAID/IDFA), device fingerprint.
• User Content: roof dimensions, pitch angles, material quantities, cost estimates, saved projects.
• Financial Data: bank accounts, credit cards, payment credentials.
• Contacts & Media: your address book, photos, files, camera, microphone.

3. Data You Enter (Stored Locally on Your Device)

The App allows you to enter project specifications to calculate roofing materials and costs. All of this data is stored exclusively on your device, encrypted with AES-256, and never transmitted to Kochi Digital or any third party:

• Roof dimensions (length, width, ridge length, valley length).
• Pitch and slope measurements (degrees, percentage, ratio).
• Material estimates (shingles, underlayment, nails, waste factor).
• Cost inputs (material price per unit, labor rates, additional fees).
• Saved project estimates, custom labels, and calculation history.

4. Permissions Used by the App

The App requests the following device permissions, strictly for its core functionality:

• Storage / Files (Optional): to export PDF/CSV estimates and project reports to your device.
• Camera (Optional): only if you choose to attach a site photo to a project record.
• Notifications (Optional): only for local reminders you configure.

No permission is used for tracking, advertising, or data collection. You can revoke any permission at any time from your device settings.

5. Third-Party Services

The App does NOT integrate any third-party SDK for analytics, advertising, tracking, or crash reporting.

Only the following platform-level services are involved when you install or purchase the App:

• Google Play Services — for app distribution, updates, and in-app purchases (Android). See Google Privacy Policy.
• Apple App Store Services — for app distribution, updates, and in-app purchases (iOS). See Apple Privacy Policy.

6. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do NOT sell, rent, trade, or share your data with any third party. Since your data never leaves your device, there is nothing for us to share.

The App itself does not connect to the internet for normal operation. The only cases where data might leave your device are:

• When you manually export a PDF/CSV file and choose to share it (email, WhatsApp, cloud storage).
• When you make an in-app purchase, processed entirely by Google Play / Apple App Store (we receive no personal data, only an anonymous purchase confirmation).
• If you voluntarily contact our support by email — in which case only the information you send is processed.

7. Data Security

We implement industry-leading security measures to protect your data:

• AES-256 encryption for all local data at rest.
• iOS Keychain / Android Keystore for cryptographic key storage.
• Sandboxed file system — data is inaccessible to other applications.

8. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

Even though we collect virtually no data, you retain full rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

• Right to Access: request a copy of any personal data we hold about you (typically none).
• Right to Rectification: correct any inaccurate information.
• Right to Erasure: request deletion of any data we hold (typically none).
• Right to Data Portability: export your local data at any time from within the App.
• Right to Object: object to any processing of your data.
• Right to Non-Discrimination: we will never discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

9. Data Retention

Since all data is stored on your device, retention is entirely under your control:

• Data is retained as long as the App is installed on your device.
• Uninstalling the App removes all associated data (unless you have exported a backup).
• You can manually delete any record at any time within the App.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do:

• The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised.
• Significant changes will be announced within the App or on our website.
• Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
